Notice of Drainage Board Meeting
for the Determination of Practicability
(in accordance with P.A. 40, of 1956, as ammended)

OF PROPOSED DEERFIELD AND SUMMERFIELD INTERCOUNTY DRAIN

Notice is hereby given, that on September 22, 2005, a petition was filed with Stephen May, Lenawee County Drain commissioner, praying for the lay out and designate of a drain known and designated as the Proposed Deerfield and Summerfield Intercounty Drain.

Whereas, the drainage District for the Proposed Deerfield and Summerfield Intercounty Drain includes lands within the following counties and their respective municipalities: Lenawee County: Deerfield Township; and Monroe County: Summerfield Township.

Whereas, a certified copy of said petition was served upon Daniel Stefanski, Monroe County Drain Commissioner and Mitch Irwin the Director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture by Stephen May, Lenawee County Drain Commissioner.

Now therefore, in accordance with P.A. 40 of 1956, as amended, a Drainage Board meeting of the Proposed Deerfield and Summerfield Intercounty Drain will be held on August 10, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at the Deerfield Township Hall, 468 Carey Street, Deerfield, Michigan, in the County of Lenawee, to determine the practicability of said improvement.

Now therefore, all persons owning lands liable to an assessment for benefits, or whose lands will be crossed by said drain, or any municipality affected, are requested to be present at said meeting, if they so desire.  Public comment will be received at the meeting.  Persons with disabilities needing accommodation for effective participation in the meeting should contact the Drain Commissioner in the county which they reside at the number noted below (voice) at least one week in advance of the meeting to request mobility, visual, hearing, or other assistance.  If anyone wishes to submit written comments prior to the date of the meeting, or has any questions regarding this notice, they may contact the following County Drain Commissioners' offices:
