STATUS OF POSEY LAKE LAKE IMPROVEMENT BOARD PROJECT

- November 3, 2003 Informational meeting. PLHA submitted a 1995-2003 water quality study by Wallace Fusilier. Discussed inlets into lake and quantity and quality of water. Reviewed proposal by Progressive AE to study water quantity and quality.

- November 12, 2003 Resolution by Lenawee County Board of Commissioners authorizing the Lenawee County Drain Commissioner to have study performed by Progressive AE on the Seeley & 98 Drain & Posey Lake. Resolution per Part 307 of PA 451 of 1994.

- June 1, 2004 study by Progressive AE recommending by-passing low flow from the Seeley & 98 Drain from Posey Lake. Upstream detention on the Seeley & 98 Drain was investigated.

- October 19, 2005 Michigan Department of Environmental Quality issued a permit for the construction of the by-pass drain.

- June 17, 2006 Informational Meeting at Hudson School cafeteria. Presentation by Wallace Fusiler on water quality, presentation by Tony Groves on Progressive AE study and Lake Improvement process. Petitions to circulate for the establishment of a Lake Improvement Board provided to attendees.

- Petitions to establish a Lake Improvement Board returned to the Lenawee County Drain Commissioner’s Office between October 15, 2006 and August 18, 2007. August 20, 2007 2/3 of required signatures for the establishment of Lake Improvement Board.

- September 10, 2007 & October 8, 2007 Hudson Township passed resolutions establishing a Lake Improvement Board. September 12, 2007 Rollin Township passed resolution establishing Lake Improvement Board. Lenawee County Board of Commissioners appointed County Commissioner Rob Hall to Lake Improvement Board.
